SA’s first driverless shuttle launched on public roads

Keolis Downer has partnered with Flinders University, the South Australian State Government and industry partners to deliver the first Flinders Express (FLEX). FLEX is a driverless electric shuttle that will transport university students and the public around the Tonsley Innovation District in Adelaide. David Franks, CEO of Keolis Downer, said: “Autonomous shuttles will change the way people travel, and by exploring how these vehicles can complement existing transport solutions, we aim to encourage the use of public transport and create more liveable and sustainable environments for communities.”
